In the spring of 2025, the Grassroots Institute conducted a series of interactive eco-lessons on the topic: “Wind energy – for or against?” This initiative is a part of the larger programs “ECO-AWARE: School of Conscious Decisions” and “Eco-Explorers: The School of Conscious Choices”. The program was created to facilitate a critical evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of renewable energy, cultivate an ecological culture, and foster a sense of civic responsibility among young people. On 19 May 2025, our public organization held a working meeting with representatives of the Transcarpathian Biosphere Reserve within the framework of the signed memorandum of cooperation. The meeting was attended by Iryna Dmytrivna Jonash (acting head of the Department of Scientific Foundations of Sustainable Development, Preparation and Implementation of Grant Projects) and Vasyl Fedorovych Pokynchereda (Deputy Head of the Department of Scientific Research and International Cooperation). Our organization was represented at the meeting by the head of the NGO – Dr. Olga Volodymyrivna Donets.

Uzhhorod is a city with a centuries-old history and multicultural heritage. One of the forgotten symbols of this heritage is the old cemetery on Kapushanska Street, which has been neglected for a long time. Once it was a place of worthy rest for the city's residents, but over the years the cemetery became practically abandoned and turned into a natural garbage dump.
